Pacto Educativo Global | Global Compact on Education

ENG. - On 12 September 2019, pope Francis launched an "invitation to dialogue on how we are shaping the future of our planet and the need to employ the talents of all, since all change requires an educational process aimed at developing a new universal solidarity and a more welcoming society".

 

To this end, he endorsed a Global Compact on Education "to rekindle our dedication for and with young people, renewing our passion for a more open and inclusive education, including patient listening, constructive dialogue and better mutual understanding".

"We must unite our efforts in a broad educational alliance, to form mature individuals capable of overcoming division and antagonis, and to restore the fabric of relationships for the sake of a more fraternal humanity".  

 

The Global Compact on Education should have taken place on 14 May 2020, with a series of complementary meetings (The Village of Education,...). To allow the widest and most serene participation, that presencial meeting was postponed. But Pope Francis' invitation is even more relevant today: there is the need to combine efforts so that education can create peace and justice!

 

The Instrumentum Laboris is the basic document that guides the work of the Global Compact on Education, clarifying the project, the context, the vision and the mission. See it in attachment.

ESP. - El 12 de septiembre de 2019, el papa Francisco lanzó la "invitación para dialogar sobre el modo en el que estamos construyendo el futuro del planeta y sobre la necesidad de invertir los talentos de todos, porque cada cambio requiere un camino educativo que haga madurar una nueva solidaridad universal y una sociedad más acogedora".

 

Por este motivo ha promovido la iniciativa de un Pacto Educativo Global "para reavivar el compromiso por y con las jóvenes generaciones, renovando la pasión por una educación más abierta e incluyente, capaz de la escucha paciente, del diálogo constructivo y de la mutuo comprensión".

 

Se trata de "unir los esfuerzos por una alianza educativa amplia para formar personas maduras, capaces de superar fragmentaciones y contraposiciones y reconstruir el tejido de las relaciones por una humanidad más fraterna".  

 

El Pacto Mundial por la Educación debería haber tenido lugar el 14 de mayo de 2020, con una serie de reuniones complementarias (La Aldea de la Educación,...). Para permitir la más amplia y serena participación, esa reunión presencial fue postergada. Pero la invitación del Papa Francisco es aún más actual: ¡es necesario aunar esfuerzos para que la educación pueda crear paz y justicia!

 

El Instrumentum Laboris es el documento básico que guía el trabajo del Pacto Mundial por la Educación, aclarando el proyecto, el contexto, la visión y la misión. Está disponible en el anexo.
